Character Education

Character education is incorporated into the daily lessons of the students. The staff use Positive Behavior Support, a research based system, to teach the students the correct way to behave in various situations before they encounter them. Positive Behavior support is a nationally recognized system to create positive discipline structure. It creates a predictable environment for the students.
In the elementary building students are also recognized "Caught Being Good" program. Students are rewarded for helping fellow students or staff or going out of their way to provide assistance without being asked. The students enjoy "being caught" and receiving their prizes.
The Girl Scouts work with all of the girls (K - 5) through a six week positive self image program which receives positive feedback every year.
